Peter Armitage

Managing Director

Peter has been with Hays Executive for three years. Initially, he recruited executives across local and central government and the not-for-profit sector before becoming Practice Director and then leading the Public services team.

Peter has also had a variety of senior positions in general management and Human Resources. His early career in HR developed with Boots, Dixons Group and the Kingfisher Group and he was also Retail Director for a drinks retailer.

His HR career culminated with his appointment as HR Director of Pret a Manger and he then became HR Director of Minit UK (owners of the Sketchley and Supasnaps retail services brands).

Prior to joining Hays, Peter was interim Campaign Director of NCYPE, a national children’s charity and he has also been Managing Director of a pan-european business-to-business PR and marketing agency.
