David Cairncross

David Cairncross joined Hays in 1996 and has recruited at executive levels over the past 11 years. Initially recruiting with the built environment and regeneration sectors, David has broadened his portfolio to include a range of major public sector organisations and blue chips plcs, whilst still maintaining his involvement in the consultancy field.

David has led numerous campaigns up to and including Chief Executive and Chair level, often involving national advertising and/or discreet search. David has also coordinated multiple appointment campaigns at board level throughout the United Kingdom, often involving the effective use of significant recruitment resources whilst working to a demanding timetable.

David has a particular interest in transference of key skills across both public and private sectors, as well as supporting companies that are addressing strategic growth and succession planning issues. David has advised numerous regeneration focussed organisations, including urban regeneration companies and specialist regeneration consultants on the key skills required for a successful regeneration strategy and how to acquire them.
