Regional Director x 4
Our client is a leading project and cost management business - part of one of the UK's largest consulting & professional support services providers. They were looking to strengthen their board by introducing a matrix management structure and to achieve this needed 4 new Regional Directors in Leeds, Manchester, Bristol & Dartford. A target list of companies was agreed with the client and in addition to this, known candidates from the local Hays 'network' were added. This process was complimented by a limited amount of online advertising.
The search was targeted towards direct competitor organisations and identified individuals fulfilling similar roles. Across the 4 locations, over 200 people were identified within the industry - determined by geography and known profile and, after extensive research, 175 of these were approached. Circa 100 of these expressed an interest in the role and, following a comprehensive screening process, 28 candidates were invited for screen interviews with the Hays specialist consultant. Hays Executive presented a short-list of 5-6 candidates per region. The client subsequently appointed a referred candidate for one of the regions however headhunted candidates for three of the roles were offered, accepted and having resigned from competitor organisations, began three months garden leave.
In addition to these appointments, 2 additional candidates were considered for roles elsewhere in the business, one of whom was also appointed.
