Commercial Director

Hays Executive was invited to recruit a Commercial Director for the Syncro Group. This role was a highly confidential position, in order to widen the search and target all possible candidates we advised the client that on-line advertising written in the 3rd party was the best way forward with the advert being written in the third party. We selected the Daily Telegraph, Total Jobs, Hays and a selection of others as these gave the best market and industry coverage.

The search process was very extensive this ensured we were reaching a far wider audience of individuals whose skill sets fitted the bill. 20 potentially suitable candidates expressed an interest in the role and following a comprehensive screening and interview process 8 were short-listed. Of the 8 chosen, 5 came through the executive search route. 4 were then chosen for first interview with the client and of those, 3 were selected for a final panel interview. The role was offered and accepted by a candidate who was had the appropriate background, skills, knowledge and experience. From starting the search the assignment was concluded within 4 months, including the candidate's notice period.
