Head of research
We are looking for a manager to lead the research function of
Hays Executive and develop a best practice approach to executive search
nationally and globally.
Key role specifics:
- To develop and implement the research processes and practices that
result in successfully completed research assignments
- To develop a knowledge management approach so that the research team
is recognised for sector expertise and knowledge in our core markets
- To be the focal point for the development of our global research capability,
co-ordinating, developing and implementing an effective and consistent
approach to research across Hays Executive offices globally
- To manage and lead the research team ensuring that research capacity
meets the demands of the business
- To develop the individual capability of the team
- To introduce appropriate performance measures for research

Secondment role
The Experience Corps (TEC) is a not for profit company that acts as an
intermediary between people and the public sector to deliver a range of
services.
It is a significant resource for Government departments and their agencies
who aim to become more delivery focused and customer aware. TEC’s
Chairman is Baroness Greengross and the Chief Executive is Maggie Semple
OBE.

TEC is now offering Associate opportunities to Government personnel.
They will appeal to those seeking practical professional development experience
in how their policies impact on the lives of people. Associates will work
as secondees alongside Maggie Semple on assignments of three to six months.
High level skills will include:
- Conceptual and strategic thinker who has created, developed and implemented
decisions
- Happy working in a team, understanding external operating needs, competitors
and partners
- Innovative approach to project management including creating a vision,
setting objectives and targets, and monitoring outcomes
- High level negotiation skills and accute political acumen
- Understanding and recognition of the values of the Civil Service
TEC is a dynamic and enterprising company with a track record in providing
sustainable solutions. Staff are Account and Relationship Managers and
have an entrepreneurial attitude to their work. They see opportunities
and act on them, each being self-motivated and IT literate.
