Presenting for Success with Kully Dhadda

Around 35 people braved the hot weather and came to the lovely rooms overlooking the Garden of Westminster Abbey to listen to Kully Dhadda share her experiences of being a PR expert, BBC journalist and presenter.

Kully gave us a fascinating insight into a career with the BBC, which included working on Business Breakfast and the Asian Network.

She then brought us right up to date on her life as a leading PR consultant and MD of Flame PR, her own highly successful company.

Kully answered a variety of questions from participants ranging from what NOT to wear on TV to how to become famous! She offered advice to us all about how to get the best from a TV or radio interview and - without revealing any secrets - about how to handle the inevitable crisis that organisations or individuals may encounter.

One of the audience put Kully on the spot by asking her to imagine what she would do were she John Prescott’s PR advisor! As a true professional Kully gave a measured and creative response which the Deputy PM would be wise to follow!

After Kully’s talk, several members were quick to take the opportunity to discuss their own aspirations and get more tips from the top. We then enjoyed drinks and the inevitable excellent networking until 9.30pm, when as the final business cards were exchanged we all went home looking forward to next time!
